News from the Social Studies Department (By Torie): This week we worked on the midwest states and took a quiz. We also made a presentation on the midwest cities.
News from the Math Department (By Chloe): This week we had a test and we are working on 4 lessons this week!!!!
News from the English/Language Arts Department (By Lori): In English/Language Arts, or ELA, we are creating a non-fiction narrative about the Titanic where we choose a person and make it like the person talking in the story about experiences on the Titanic. We are also working on our long 15 page test.
News from the Music Department (By Halle): This week in music, we finished our music elements and started to sing “Lean on Me” and learn the chords to play on the piano.
News from the Physical Education Department (By Desirae): This week we did bowling in gym. We just played regular blowing in groups. My first group included Gabe, Connor, and Jeremy. My second group included Sophia, Brenna, and Grace. I was not very good at it but I enjoyed in a lot. Bowling ended on Wednesday. So on Friday we played a rock, paper, scissors, game, (we had to play every person in the class) If you lost you had to run a lap, if you won, you did nothing. We also played a game kinda like dodge ball.
News from the Art Department (By Quinn): This week in art class, we are doing a project where we draw designs, cut them out, and flip them. We are trying to capture a mood in our projects.
Free Choice Area (By Justyce): In art we are working on notans. A notan is a drawing on a piece of paper and you cut out the design and flip it over to the other side and glue it down.
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): What a cold week we are having. I don’t know about you, but I am certainly ready for the warmer weather to come back. Have no fear though, because today marks the day pitchers and catchers report for baseball. A true sign that spring is coming close.
We will be having our conferences on Thursday. If you were requested to come please remember your time to come meet with Mrs. Krueger and I. Conferences will run from 1:00 to 7:30pm.

On Monday, March 2nd we will be having our Culver’s night. Staff and parents will be working at Culver’s that night. Stop in to see your favorite teachers, like me from 7pm-8pm. For upcoming important dates, including days off, Market Day pick up, etc. go to our Calendar.
