News from the Social Studies Department (By Leslie): We are studying Latin America.
News from the Math Department (By Emilee): In math we are working with percents. We are learning about finding tax and sales.
News from the Reader’s Workshop Department (By Payton): We are working on our Figurative Language Booklets.
News from the Writer's Workshop Department (By Cole): This week we were learning about object and subject pronouns.
News from the Music Department (By Jordan): We are playing instruments such as drums and piano.
News from the Physical Education Department (By Seth): Our bowling unit is over, and we learned proper form to bowling.
News from the Art Department (By Trevor): In art we’re painting pictures of some sort of cake that we drew. I’m doing a Cupcake.
Free Choice Area (By KC): In science we finished our robots we made from Legos™. The robots move by sound, touch, and sight. One Direction has just gotten back from helping kids in Haiti. They are so thoughtful.
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer):
Happy Spring Break, and Easter. I hope you enjoy your time with family, friends, and loved ones during this time of year.
Field Trip Update: I have collected a lot of names of people interested in being a chaperone. This next week, after break, I will pick the people and then let them know they were picked. ALMOST all of the students sent in permission slip if they were going or not. I am going to cover the cost of the tickets so we can pay this next week, and hopefully those who said they were going will pay back after break.
Remember to come back to school on Monday, April 8th. From there we will be in the final stretch of the year. Our next Early Release day will be Friday, May 24th. Then we will be off on Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day.
This week has been our spirit week at school. Please check the pictures section of the website for some nice pictures of the spirit in the class.
