News from the Social Studies Department (By Grace): We learned about the provinces and territories of Canada.
News from the Math Department (By Laura): We just finished our quiz and lessons on decimals, percents, and fractions.
News from the English/Language Arts Department (By Jillian): Right now, we are writing our argumentative essays where we are arguing if the Iditarod is humane or not.
News from the Music Department (By Alex): In music we have just started these different stations were we learn different things like guitar piano autoharp and things like that.
News from the Physical Education Department (By Jeremy): We did an obstacle course and I got yelled at.
News from the Art Department (By Katie): In art we are doing a project were we have to choose a design that describes us.
Free Choice Area (By Camille): We are following the iditarod and on the day march 13 we eat pie and celebrate the pi day 3.14 etc.
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): What a fun week. Chuck Norris turned 75 and tomorrow we celebrate Pi day! We also started the Iditarod and our fantasy competition of the Idita-read. Kids have been working hard at night reading as fast as the mushers run. The teams in this class have picked 4 teams that have all been in the top 15.
On Tuesday next week the second trimester grades will be up on Skyward, with comments too. Please go on to Skyward after Tuesday. I will be checking over the next two weeks who goes on Skyward and checks grades and who does not. If you don’t after two weeks I will be sending a letter home to remind you to check grades.
