I am looking for donations for our science project coming up hopefully next week. We will be growing hydroponics and need 2-liter bottles. If you have any please send them to class with your students. We will be starting on Monday so please get them in by then. Thanks.
We went to Discover World on Thursday. A BIG thank you to our parent volunteers that chaperoned with us. The students were well behaved and seemed to have a good time.
The final PTO meeting will be on May 24th (Wednesday) at 6:30. Our Fox River visit day will be Friday, May 26th. There will be no school on May 29th because to celebrate Memorial Day. Finally, on May 31st we will be having an all-school ALICE evacuation drill. Our Carnival will be June 6th. Out last day, and auction day is June 8 (see next for Auction).
Its auction time and we are looking for donations for our biannual classroom auction. Students have been earning money for being positive and taking responsibility for their learning.
If you are interested in helping make the event a success, we are in need of your help. We have received a decent amount of items from donors thus far, but we are still in need of a few items for the upcoming auction.
If you have any of the following items that would be of interest to sixth graders we would be glad to take them:
- Rummage sale items
- Used books
- Baked goods
- Business donations
- Gift cards
- Soda/Candy
- Etc.
Please send your donations with your child to his/her homeroom teacher by Wednesday, June 7th (unless you are sending baked goods, those can be send on the morning of the auction. Our auction will be held on the morning of June 8th.
On the last day we will be having our final auction of the year. A letter asking for donations is going home today so please look it over and see if you can help us out. If you are looking at having a garage sale, some of those items would be grand for the kids.
