Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Can you believe it? We are 4 weeks into the school year already. This week we completed our MAPs testing for the beginning of the year, had our first Spanish class, and even had our first fundraising opportunity with the Cousin’s day yesterday. That is a busy week in my mind.
Next week will mark the end of our first month and I just wanted to take a chance to remind you that at the end of October we will be having our conference nights. Plans are being made for Parent-Teacher Conferences. You can provide insights that will help the teacher assess what your child is capable of accomplishing and the extent to which your child is achieving his or her potential. Cooperation between parent and teacher is a big plus for the student. Conferences are scheduled Wednesday, October 29th and Thursday, October 30th. You were to sign up at open house for one-hour time slot that you can make it to. You do not need to come right at the start of the time, but you can come at any time during that hour. You can meet with myself and/or Mrs. Krueger during that hour. We limited the number of slots open during that time to make sure there is time to meet with at least one of us during that time slot. I know of a few people who said they can’t make the times we scheduled for you to make and wanted to have a personal time. Please let me know if you need that and we can try to make an accomodiation after school that week if possible.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar.
Make sure you are staying connected with our Remind alert system and following the class on Twitter. Find both feeds shown on our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. If you are not signed up on either you can do so on the website. Contact me if you have any questions on doing this.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
BONUS: On Monday include a note for a reward in the assignment notebook, or email me. What event is on the calendar for this coming Monday, September 28? I look forward to seeing how many respond.
