Thank you to all the families coming in today too. It has been nice to make contact and share all the positive work that has been done so far. Remember that next week will be our WKCE testing window. Please help to make sure all students are getting ample sleeping time, a hearty breakfast, and come to school with a smile to allow them to do better on the test. As I mentioned in the conferences WKCE is in its last year here in Wisconsin. Next year we will be doing an assessment called Smarter Balance. I wanted to inform everyone of one more communication tool that I implemented into our school community to use. Along with the Remind101 text system we now have a Twitter account for the class. If the conference prior to yours seems to be going a little long just knock (it is probably long because I talk a lot). We have a lot of students this year and a lot of conferences that are back-to-back. If we need to plan more time later we can do that. Be ready as well to have the students present what they have done this year too. They will be working hard with Mrs. Muench this week developed portfolios and goals with the kids that they will be sharing with you at conferences. I will be sending home a letter that explains how you can access your account and complete the challenges needed to earn your points for the carnival weekly. Also coming home today are the results of the MAPs fall testing we did. You can see how your students did on the tests. This will be our benchmark test for monitoring progress.
