Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Can you believe the month of November is almost over? This month went by quickly, well it went by the same amount of time as every year but it felt fast. I want to give a big HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone too. Enjoy the time you get with your family and friends. Take a moment to also think about what you are thankful for this year.
As I stated in an email recently the end of the first trimester is on Monday. Please check out the grades of your students and check to see if they have any late/missing work that needs to be completed. Grades are due on Monday, so I want to make sure we do not have anything hanging out there that could have been taken. On Tuesday we will wipe the slate clean and start the second third of the school year.
After next week I WILL NOT be checking the assignment notebook anymore for signatures. You are still welcome to put notes in the notebook because we still expect the students to use the notebook, just do not need to check that all of us are checking them daily. This is one of the first steps to making them independent for next year.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar.
Make sure you are staying connected with our Remind alert system and following the class on Twitter. Find both feeds shown on our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. If you are not signed up on either you can do so on the website. Contact me if you have any questions on doing this. I have also added pictures to our pictures page too.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
BONUS: On Monday include a note for a reward in the assignment notebook, or email me. What is the scientific name for 1/100th of a second? I look forward to seeing how many respond.
