Free Choice Area (By Maddy): We raised enough money from our Walk to School Day to have Mr. Dembosky, our principal, duct tapped to the wall. We raised almost $6,000 dollars! We had a very awesome Walk to School Day!
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Congratulations to the Trailside family for the awesome job at raising almost $6,000 for the PTO. We have NEVER earned this much before. I am excited to see Mr. Dembosky work in the lunch room for a day, and get duct tapped to the wall! I am also excited to see how the money can be used to improve the need for technology here at school. Thank you to everyone who helped.
Our Walk to School Day was not only a success with donations, but it was also a fun event! We had two of the racing sausages join us for the celebration. We had a race between the sausages, Mr. Twister, and Ketchup man. If anyone has taken any pictures from the event please send them my way so I can put them into our Flikr account to post them up on our pictures page. To go to my Flickr account directly too. At the end of the month we will be having conferences. Please make sure to help us teachers prepare for the conferences by completing the survey Mrs. Kreuger and I posted on our websites. Go to www.mrsinger.weebly.com at at the top of the homepage you will find the link. We also sent the survey out via the Remind101 text/app alert.
Tuesday will be the October PTO meeting. It begins at 6pm and we would love to see as many people there as possible. For more on the PTO here at Trailside, visit their website.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, Market Day pick up, etc. go to our Calendar. Next Friday is our first move night too. We hope to see you all there as well.
I wanted to inform everyone of one more communication tool that I implemented into our school community to use. Along with the Remind101 text system we now have a Twitter account for the class. Go to www.twitter.com/mrsingerclass to see news and updates from the school day, etc. I am posting pictures, reminders, educational resources, etc. You can also gain access by clicking on the Twitter tab in the top right corner of our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. PLEASE stay connected to what we are doing in our classroom.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
