Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Happy Friday to you. I hope everyone had a good week. Here at school it seems like it flew by with the mathematics Forward exam, working on the data project we had in math, and getting to start so many new units in the other subjects.
Speaking of Forward exam, we finished all the tests, except for the few makeups we have to get done, and I am excited to see how we did on the state test once the results come back. The students tried hard and put their best effort into the test. We have one more round of MAPs testing coming up too at the end of April/early May where we will be able to see how well the students progressed from last spring. We are working hard in math to finish up our last two units on geometry and functions. We will start geometry on Monday.
I want to give a plug for the Fox River musical being held tonight and Saturday at the high school. They are doing The Long King Jr. and it we were lucky to see it yesterday. The students did an awesome job putting on the musical. If you can, stop in and see it!
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar. This coming week is very busy with PTO events. Next week Monday will be our Cousins donation day, and Thursday will be our Traxside skate night. I hope to see everyone on Thursday!
