Right now we are starting another project about designing a roller coaster. I was kind of sad when he said our roller coaster has to be “realistic.”

In Social Studies, we have been working on our project. It has been fun for some kids. Make sure that you get your research done and pictures collected.
News from the Math Department (By Zach M.):
We just did an M&M’s project and it was pretty fun. Now we are starting a new unit in geometry and are working with shapes and stuff. It is an easier unit than bits and pieces and prime time.
News from the Reader’s Workshop Department (By Jack):
All of us are doing another group project, and you have to read a summary for chapters, and most people have to read 10 chapters a week.

Our concert was just Thursday. Our full one was at 1:00, but band and chorus was at I think 6:00.

We were shooting for $50 for our checkbooks this week for archery. Next week we will be starting roller skating.

In art wewe are copying the faces that we made on Pocosohead.com and after we do that we paint them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Free Choice Area (By Sydney):
At recesses you will see many many kids playing football and tag and even some ‘I’m darth wader’ games; even though its haveic out there it lots of fun. And the techers help contain the kids.
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer):
Welcome to the second trimester. I want to start out by saying congratulations 6th graders. Your show was great yesterday. I was very excited to see them present themselves so well. They have quite the voices. I have added some pictures from the show in our pictures section. Please take a look at them.
After Christmas break we will be having our classroom auction. If you have anything at home you could donate, or want to purchase for the auction, we would be more than welcome to accept anything. People have donated old movies, video games, gift cards, candy or food, etc. Please let me know
GRADES are now avaliable. Please log onto Skyward to see your child’s grades. I will need to see that everyone has loged on and viewed their progress. I will check next week Friday and contact you if you have not seen them yet.
There will be no school starting December 23rd and going until next year…. get it?
