Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Good afternoon everyone! I wanted to say thanks to all the people who came to the Traxside skate night. 6th grade certainly had the most people there. It was a lot of fun and I did not even fall :).
This week we finished our mid-year MAPs testing in mathematics. Next week we will analyze the results the students had and as soon as I can I will send you a copy home so you know how well the students did.
We also have two great opportunities this next week to help support the Trailside community. On Tuesday we will be having Cousin’s day. Stop in there during the day and a percentage of the sales for the day goes to Trailside. This is an easy and tasty way to help TS. ON Friday we will be having our family movie night. Bring the family and enjoy a fun movie and snacks in the gym. Parents are required to come, hence the family movie night.
Friday will also be popcorn day, bring $.50 to get popcorn by Thursday, and it will be dress like your favorite character from a movie, TV show, or book.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar. This coming week is very busy with PTO events.
Make sure you are staying connected with our Remind alert system and following the class on Twitter. Find both feeds shown on our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. If you are not signed up on either you can do so on the website. Contact me if you have any questions on doing this. I have also added pictures to our pictures page too.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
BONUS: Here is an easy one for you all to try this week. What is the only letter in the English alphabet that is not found in any of the names of the states? An answer by Monday by email or in the assignment notebook, or in a note form, will earn you or your student $50! Good Luck!!!
