Welcome back! We made it one week. Only 35 more to go this year! We have been busy preparing for the rest of the year this week. From going over the handbook to reviewing how to fill in our notebooks we have been working hard.
We will TRY OUR BEST to send one of these each week. As you can see several students each week get a chance to share their take on the week as well. We will try to change the names up each week so everyone gets a chance at least once every three weeks or so.
On our pictures page I will post things we are doing in class. I will try to also put other examples of work on there too that are either pictures or video. Make sure you check that link every once and a while. The other way to see the pictures is to go to my Flickr account directly too. The link is https://www.flickr.com/photos/bradsinger/.
Next week we will begin the MAPs testing benchmark work. Every year we take the MAPs test three times to evaluate the progress of the students. For more information on MAPs, click here. Also be aware there is a PTO Meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. It starts at 6pm every month. Please make it. For more on the PTO here at Trailside, visit their website.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, Market Day pick up, etc. go to our Calendar. There will also be a sakte night at Traxside on Thursday, October 2nd and on Friday the 3rd it will be an early release day. We end at 11:30 on those days. Plan accordingly.
I wanted to inform everyone of one more communication tool that I implemented into our school community to use. Along with the Remind101 text system we now have a Twitter account for the class. Go to www.twitter.com/mrsingerclass to see news and updates from the school day, etc. I am posting pictures, reminders, educational resources, etc. You can also gain access by clicking on the Twitter tab in the top right corner of our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. PLEASE stay connected to what we are doing in our classroom.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
Finally, looking for a way to support Trailside and look fashionable doing it, check out the spirit wear for TS. Click here for the link to order your gear today. All orders are shipped directly to your door.
