Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer):
Welcome parents and students to the 2013-2014 school year! You are about to embark on a very important year in your educational career. You are not quite a middle school student, but the expectations put on you are much more than a normal elementary school students. You are going to have good days, and bad. You are going to make a lot of friends, and probably lose a few. Through the entire experience there will be two things that will be constant from day one to the last. One, you will be learning many new concepts that you will use in your life. The second is the support you will find in the entire staff at Trailside, including me!
We are a family in this community and we work together in this community every day. We need to make sure we have fun and respect everyone. School should be safe, and this classroom is no different. No bullies are allowed and no bullying is tolerated.
Our school motto is “Expect to Learn. Respect Everyone.” We also have three expectations for all members of Trailside. They are Attitude, Respect, and Responsibility. I highly believe in this and hold all students to this standard. Good luck to you this year. You will be surprised when you look back at how much you have changed at the end of the year.
Please check the calendar frequently for any important dates. I will keep it as current as I can. Remember to check the assignment notebook board too.
