News from the Social Studies Department (By Willy): In Social studies we have been doing a decade project. In the decade project you and your partner are given a decade,then then that data is put into a photo story.
News from the Math Department (By Wyatt): In Math we have been learning about how to find the greatest common factor (GCF), and we’ve been learning about prime factorization and factors of many different numbers.
News from the Reader’s Workshop Department (By Will): We have just finished working on a literary elements flip chart and took the test.
News from the Music Department (By Sydney): This week we had our Winter Concert with the 4th, 5th, 6th grades, Chorus, and Band. The songs the 6th grade sang were We Will Jingle, I Saw Three Ships, and For the Winter. This was the 6th grade’s last general music concert of Elementary School.
News from the Physical Education Department (By Ally): We are starting hockey. Mrs. Bieser has told us to be careful, but we know.
News from the Art Department (By Whitney): In art we are just finishing one of our art projects. What we did was we got to choose our partners, then came up with an idea. After that we made a story and drew a big, huge picture. Now we’re going to share it with the class by our next art class on Tuesday.

Congratulations to the 6th graders for a job well done in the concert yesterday. That was the best singing I have ever heard in the time I have been here at Trailside. Concerts like that really get your in the Christmas spirit. Again, BRAVO!
Grades became official this week. Please go on Skyward and check your student’s progress through the first third of the year. I will be checking in on everyones account to see if you have been checking the grades of your student. If you are having any trouble please let me know so I can get you the assistance you need.
