As the days get shorter, and colder, we are starting to heat up and get our learning going strong. This week has been busy. We were introduced to our Anthology theme this year, we had our second Spanish class, we started to wrap up our first major writing piece, and we had several tests. The kids have been great as well through all this.
As you know, from the letters sent home this week, that Conferences are two weeks away. During the conferences the students’ will be giving a presentation to all of your for half of the time. They are preparing a portfolio presentation where they will share two artifacts and goals so far this year. The second half of the conferences will be used to cover any burning issues you shared on the blue survey, discuss the MAPs testing, discuss SKYWARD, and any other items you might have.
On Thursday, October 25th school is over early. Conferences start at 1:00 that day. The following day, Friday, we are off of school too. For all major dates of interest please go to the website and check out the calendar page.
I have posted pictures from our visit on the pictures page from our work in Science this week. Check them out. I will continue to add pictures of the class doing stuff throughout the year. The goal is to help you follow along as we learn this year.
If you are interested in any other information, please peruse the website and enjoy. Our class rules, pictures from the year, and much more can be found. If you ever have any questions, or comments, please email me!
