We also began out PBIS implementation this week. Students are learning how to properly work within the system with good body basics, proper voice levels in situations, and the road rules of the hallway. Please talk with your students on what these all mean.
I also started our short 5 lesson series from Class Dojo on mindset. This week I sent a small sheet home with your students to get them talking with you about having a good work ethic and the ability to believe you can do anything. Please follow along with those activities so we can make sure that all students know they can achieve. Also, with Class Dojo, please make sure to sign up. We are at 54% of families registered. To register snap a shot of this class QR Code at the bottom.
Next week we will begin our PTLW unit, Project Lead the Way. Our first activity will be creating a prototype for a foot orthosis. We will be using recycled items so if you have any old rolls of twine/rope, milk jugs (cleaned out), sandpaper, etc. laying around at home please send them in to help us build a stockpile of items we can use for prototype building.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar.
Make sure you are staying connected with our Remind alert system and following the class on Twitter. Find both feeds shown on our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. If you are not signed up on either you can do so on the website. Contact me if you have any questions on doing this. I have also added pictures to our pictures page too.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
BONUS: Each week I will put a challenge on here for any parent or student to try. All you have to do is give a response by Monday in the assignment notebook for me to see. If the answer is correct the student will receive $50 towards their checking account. Good Luck!
