I guess March is coming in like a lamb. Does this mean we need to get ready for the roar it will end with (I hope people get this)? It has been a fun-filled week with our preparations for the Iditarod race starting on Saturday. The students will be following a musher and try to our read as fast as they read. We call it our Iditarod Fantasy League. For every page a student reads, it will count for three miles their musher goes. Each day at school we will check to see how they did. Please initial their fantasy spreadsheet nightly. At the end of the race the students will receive winnings depending on their team’s finishing place. MUSH, READ, REPEAT!
Today marks the end of the 2nd trimester. Grades will be posted on March 7th. Please make sure to go on Skyward on or after that day. I will check the progress of checking grades one week after the 7th, like normal.
Spring break is coming up. The last day of school is March 28th. This means that break will start Friday, March 29th and students will come back on April 8th. Please plan accordingly to have students in our care for that week :o.
