Happy early release Friday. What are you going to do with the extra day of no school? Good job this week to the sixth graders. We got a lot done and make some good growth in our learning. The students are starting to get in the swing of things now that we are a month into school.
Next week we will begin our yearly push with Reading Counts and Xtra Math. Xtra math is new this year. I will be sending home a letter that explains how you can access your account and complete the challenges needed to earn your points for the carnival weekly. Also coming home today are the results of the MAPs fall testing we did. You can see how your students did on the tests. This will be our benchmark test for monitoring progress.
Just a heads up on some upcoming dates; On October 8th the 6th graders will be going to a No Bully Assembly at Fox River. October 9th will be our big fundraiser for the school, Walk to School Day. For more on different events coming up please check our calendar page of the website. If you want to know more about what is going on in the Trailside PTO, please see their website too.
