This was quite a busy week. We started our research project, got into decimals in mathematics, and today we began our unit on the Iditarod - The last great race on Earth. Students will be developing a large wall map that we will use as our tracking device for the race, they will be put into teams for our version of fantasy Iditarod; Idita-read, and we will be learning about the ins and outs of the race and the life of the dogs and mushers.
Tonight is the second family movie night at Trailside. The doors open at 6:30 and they will be showing Despicable Me 2. Bring the family and have a good time while showing support for the TS PTO. I hope to see you all there.
Just another reminder that February 27th is not a full day followed by conferences, and then February 28th is now an early release day. For upcoming important dates, including days off, Market Day pick up, etc. go to our Calendar. There is an opportunity for you to support Trailside and participate in the skate night next Thursday at Traxside. See the flyer coming home today.
I wanted to inform everyone of one more communication tool that I implemented into our school community to use. Along with the Remind101 text system we now have a Twitter account for the class.
