Happy Friday to all of you.
This week we finished our MAPs testing, except for a few students who were missing this week and need to finish Monday. I will be sending hom the results sheets after all have completed next week.
Planning for the end of the year; we do one more auction the last day of school for the students. I am asking again if you have anything you can donate to our auction that would be appreciated. So, if you are doing some spring cleaning and find some items that look enjoyable to 6th, soon to be 7th, graders, or you want to donate some gift like baskets, etc. please let me know. The dontaitons from auction letters have been down this year compared to the last few years.
Next week Wednesday we will be spending the morning at Fox River to learn about the computer usage for next year. Please fill out the permission slip that went home yesterday as soon as possible.
As a reminder we have two field trips coming up. May 22nd we will be at Retzner nature center in Waukesha, and May 29th we will be at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
May25th will be a half day where we are done at 11:30. May 28th will be no school because of Memorial Day.
The students have been working on poetry for the past few weeks. Many of them have created their poems and put them on their online portfolio. Please check out their poetry work.
The students completed a reading program called reader’s theater. It is basicially a fluency practice program where they read the scripts, try to memorize the lines, and then act them out. I have placed the videos on our website for your enjoyment. Please check them out.
If you are interested in any other information, please paruse the website and enjoy. Our class rules, pictures from the year, and much more can be found. If you ever have any questions, or comments, please email me!
