( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): The students are officially done with Forward testing as of yesterday, unless anyone was sick and needs to be made up. Now it is time to focus on the important stuff; spring break next Thursday! We are almost there, I know I am counting too. Remember that next Thursday will be a half day, but we will go until 11:50 am that day. Then there is no school on Good Friday and the week after. Since we will have a short week I will not be putting out a newsletter next week. Please watch on Dojo for any announcements until April 29.
A big thank you to all who came out to Culver’s the other night to help the PTO raise money for school. It was nice seeing some families while I was there. Please make sure to come to the skate night at Traxside next Thursday to also help support the school. You also should have received a note in the mail from the students about a Brewers night coming up soon. Tickets are dirt cheap and you can make it an event that the whole family, and extended family, can go to.
Don't forget FR activity night tonight. We are still in need of some parent volunteers.
Last reminder for today is to get the yearbook forms in soon if you want to order a yearbook for your child. The students were also told about an opportunity where they can decorate the cover of the yearbook. Give them some encouragement to make the winning cover for their last yearbook at Trailside.
Make sure to sign up with class Dojo. We are at 75% of families registered. To register go to www.classdojo.com/CT7L92M.
For upcoming important dates, including days off, PTO events, etc. go to our Calendar. You can also see the PTO calendar here too. This Thursday will be Skate night at Traxside. I hope to see many of you there as I hope to go and break a leg, literally… probably…. most likely.
Make sure you are staying connected with our Remind alert system and following the class on Twitter. Find both feeds shown on our website, www.mrsinger.weebly.com. If you are not signed up on either you can do so on the website. Contact me if you have any questions on doing this. I have also added pictures to our pictures page too.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework updates.
BONUS: Each week I will put a challenge on here for any parent or student to try. All you have to do is give a response by Monday in the assignment notebook for me to see. If the answer is correct the student will receive $50 towards their checking account. Good Luck!
There will be no newsletter next week with the shortened week so let’s make this worth $100 and lets make it something related to spring break. Spring is always kicked off with the first day of spring, which is March 20th. The day is called the Vernal Equinoix, but what do the two words mean? Hint the phrases roots to Latin. Good Luck!
