News from the Social Studies Department (By Cameron): In social Studies this week we did are daily packets and we learned about Exports and Imports, Services, and Goods.
News from the Math Department (By Christian): Today has totally been a very mixed week. Monday and Tuesday was all normal, with our new math unit that we are doing. But Wednesday and Thursday were the most intense moments of January. That’s right. We were doing the dreaded MAPS test. But, all of us got through it, and we proved we could do math like a champion!
News from the English/Language Arts Department (By Carson): In ELA this week we learned about natural disasters. We had to research 3 of them. Tsunamis, Earthquakes, and Tornados.
News from the Physical Education Department (By JD): We are doing archery/hunger games in gym class. We also have to survive and we get these points for the hunger games.
News from the Art Department (By Maya): This week in art we are doing a ombre painting. We paint the background ombre and then paint something with black over it.
News from the Music Department (By: Ryan C.): this week in music we presented different hanukkah or christmas type songs.
Free Choice Area (By Ryan F.): I have nothing to say, so I will tell you a Chuck Norris fact, a fear of spiders is arachnophobia, a fear of public speaking is called glossophobia, a fear of Chuck Norris is common sense.
Teacher's Corner (By Mr. Singer): Happy Friday to you. We made it halfway through January now, and are doing well so far. Next week will mark the halfway point of our trimester already, and on Tuesday progress reports will be “live” online for you. Next week is also a busy one with a visit from Fox River about next year, some have Math 24 competition, and we will go see the Fox River musical as well. It will be a busy time.
