Welcome to our new year of school! It has only been one week but I so far this group of students has been safe, respectful, responsible, and fun! I can’t wait to see how the rest of the year goes. Each week I will be sending out this newsletter to help keep you all informed and aware of what is going on. My main goal each year is to make communication open and frequent. I know that the students will be more successful if you and I are on the same page and involved in their learning. Please take a few minutes each week to read through this newsletter.
Thank you very much helping your student be ready for school this week. The help with getting checkbook covers, pictures for their notebooks, signing all the forms and returning them on hand, and making sure they are read for school each day is awesome.
Next week looks to be a quiet week when it comes to scheduled events, but please remember that picture day is Thursday. Wednesday at 6:00 pm there will be another listening session about the future of Fox River and the school district. The event will be held here at Trailside. I encourage you to try to make it so you can be aware of what the district is looking to do as we move forward. For more information you can see our calendar page from our website too.
Please make an effort to join our Remind account and/or Class Dojo to keep up with information, behavior concerns, and other photos and stories from our classes. For remind to go www.remind.com/join/bradsinger and for class dojo go to www.classdojo.com/CT7L92M. Mrs. Topp and I will update through these two resources all year.
Throughout the year I will post pictures on our pictures page of the website too. Check out what is going on in the classroom. I also post what is going on on twitter through the Twitter handle @MrSingerClass.
Remember to check the assignment notebook board daily for homework and quick notes. I go through this with the students daily, but sometimes they do forget.
BONUS: Each week I will put a challenge on here for any parent or student to try. All you have to do is give a response by Monday in the assignment notebook for me to see. If the answer is correct the student will receive $50 towards their checking account. Good Luck!
At the start of the year you may feel like you are banding your head into the wall, but in fact doing that will cause you to burn calories. How many calories can you burn by doing so?
